Day 2 of Cruisin' Cosmo- Atlantis

Cococay - Royal Caribean's Island Tuesday

After a night of sleeping like the dead, Cycles and I were REA-DY for a day in the sun. We read the daily compus (Ships agenda and entertainment info) that had been slipped under our door. According to our daily planner (the compuss) we are arriving at Cococay in about an hour! YAHOO!

After rapidly turning into our beautiful selves, we go to the breakfast dining room. **Note, we could've went to the buffet, but given the choice, I want someone to serve me. For some reason, food tastes better when someone serves it to me**

I had two orders of smoked salmon (YUMMY!) with capers, lemon & onions. It came with a bagel, but I was all about the salmon. Cycles... well I'm not sure what she had, I was excitably consuming my salmon. (I'm not a total gluton, I haven't had smoked Salmon in years, and this was some good fish!)

Before we were done wolfing down our breakfast, the captain came over the load speakers (The speakers next to our room were DEAFING! There was no sleeping through her (the captain's) accouncements).

"I apologize but due to weather, we are not going to be able to tender at Cococay. We will have alternative activites availalbe, please look in your compus (the ships itenerary) for more information." the captain says in her deafing voice.

Cycles and I just look at eachother with disappointment, but hey, we will make the most out of it.

By day two, Cycles and I are starting to get a bit stir crazy. We are use to a bit more activity and entertainment, so the thought of staying all day on the boat, isn't really appealing. All that being said, Cycles and I are optimists, so we suck it up and prepair to enjoy our day on the boat.

We head downstairs to our Ode-de-tolĂet (our room) to change into ship clothes (it was cold on the ship) and decide to take bit of a nap. Cycles has a headache and I'm kewl with reading in the room, as long as the bathroom door is closed.

After a few hours of reading and napping, hmm what to do?

Cycles being the adult kid she is says "Look, there is an adult Coloring class"

Sleeply I respond "Maybe we can draw penises"

Cycles "Good idea!" (There is a reason I love this women!)

Before our Adult Art studio class, we go for our feeding. The dining room had some great food, of course, and we ended up meeting some nice women from huntville AL.

Just to prove what a small world it is, Cycles has some family and knew all about their home town. Of course since we are all about food, we find out that, one of the ladies owned a hamburger joint (Soul burgers).

After feeding our face... again, we decided to fight off the nap that is threating by having some cocktails on the topmost bar (deck 14) where the adult drawings are going to take place.

It's always nice to have a cocktail before drawing penises.

Soon, the adult art class begins. We are all hyped about getting to draw adult things. I haven't played with colors and makers in so long, I'm actully excited. (Note to cruise ship, adult "kid" activites are cheap and entertaining)

We sit down with our fruity umbrella cocktails, awaiting our instructions. Imagine our disappointment when the guy gives us a card with outlines of a beach scene. Where is the Adult part of this coloring session? Oh... it meant adult ONLY.

Being the good sports we are, Cycles and I embrasse the activity and color our beach scene with pastels. My picture turned out looking like something a 3 year old could've done. (My artistic avenues are more on the technology side) Cycles, on the other hand, looked like a work of art. She did pixilazation with pastels (not easy to do) and it turned out gourgous.

After completing our art projects, we people watched the people crazy enough to be at the pool. The weather on the ship was less than 65 degrees with at least a 30mph wind. It was COLD! At least too cold for us Florida girls.

After our 2nd cocktail things get a bit fuzzy. I think we shopped a bit...

The BEST news came that afternoon, the Captain was going to dock us at Nassau early. 7pm that night. (We weren't suppose to arrive until the Day 3 morning) YAHOO! Cycles and I were VERY ancious to get off the boat! In fact, I think our pants were one fire, we wanted off so bad.

Our cruise mates (from the dining club) talked us into eating formal dinner and then going to Atlantis. Hesently, we agreed. A good thing too, or Cycles and I wouldn't have gotten our Lesbian pictures take. Yeap, you hear me right... lesbian pictures. Apparently the photographer thought we were together. We thought it was soo funny, we went with the poses she suggested. Surprise, surprise , we ended up buying two of those pictures. :D

Dinner was delicious, as always, but since I was so ready to go ashore, I can't really recall what I had.

After dinner we were on our way to our room to change into pants, when Aussie, our Stateroom attendent (for lack of a better term, the person that cleaned up our crap in our room) asked us about the room's odor. Cycles let him have it. I feel the need to prefese this with the explination that cycles is usually always an sanguine (My new favorite word), lovin life gal. However, after that loaded question... Cycles couldn't take it anymore. (Which was nice, since it saved me from lashing into him)

Cycles, in an irrated maner says to Aussie "No, it does NOT smell any better! It smells like a shit storm happened in there and we haven't had one bowel movement in there since we got on this boat"

Aussie in a scared voice "I've been trying to clean it, but it doesn't seem to work"

Cycles, getting louder "BECAUSE it's coming from the drain! That damn thing is always talking to us with it's stinky breath!"

Aussie, looking scared"..."

Cycles in a more calm voice replys "It's not your fault Aussie. You have been cleaning that room like a man on a mission. And it smells good for a bit after your done, but... then the shit monster of the drain starts talking again (I think she was refering to the gurgling, but I wasn't about to ask) and WHOOO it smells like a sewer!"

Aussie "I've called my supervisor and he is talking to guest services about getting you another room. Please go upstairs and get the room key. I will help you with your bags when you get back"

Cycles "Well this better be quick because we have plans tonight"

Aussie just looked a bit like a deer in the headlights. Stunned and frighted.

**Note to self... never piss Cycles off!

Sure enough, we get another room on a higher floor that doesn't stink and even has a huge window. Yahoo... Thanks crazy... I mean tenacious Cycles. (Honestly, I was going to do the same thing Cycles did, so I think she handled it wonderfully)

we followed the group to Atlantis (the hotel/Casino). Eventully we figured out how to get over to the island (Atlantis is on a seperate island, but is joined to nassau's Island (Paradise island) by a bridge. The ride on the mini-bus was... interesting. Since I had consumed a few cocktails, I was a bit loud and my jokes were a bit colorful. At one point the bus was bouncing soo much, the back seat (Yeap, I sat at the back of the bus)was making soo much noise I said something like "I haven't heard that much squeaking since the last time I had crazy monkey sex" Cycles promptly broke out laughing (I Love that women... in a platonic way of course. Not that she isn't attractive... well you get my point) joined by a few of our companions.

Atlantis

Atlantis is a hotel with a huge casino. It's known for it's beauty, aqurarious, and luxuiry. The entrance of Atlantis is guarded by a HUGE metal scuplture of peguses trying to jump free. The bonus for us was, if you go to Atlantis at night, you get to see most of the aquariums for free! They have million gallon tanks and the biggest stingrays I have EVER seen. The sea horses, the jellyfish (under black light, so they glowed) and the stingray's dance, were my favorites.

After the fish watching we all wondered around the estate. The fountains were beautful . I suspect they would've been more beautiful in the sun, but at night they where amazing. The sculputres were impressive and the 25000 a night room (it's a bridge between the two wings) was massive (we only saw it from the outside, of course).

While viewing the 25000 a night room, I couldn't help but think, that I would like to date someone that could stay in that room. with that though, we were off to the Casino.

The Chihuly (http://www.chihuly.com/installations/atlantis/Art/at23B.jpeg www.chihuly.com/.../atlantis/Art/at38_home.jpeg) glass scuptures were breathtaking. The three inside the casino, was the highlight of Atlantis, for me. Although the 500.00 minumin blackjack tables are a close second. Cycles and I were looking for a few dates, but there were only two men and they looked a bit to serious for our tastes.

Not knowing where else to go and since our campainions were tried, we headed back to the boat for a bit of shut eye.

The next morning... well that's a differenty story! Can you say PAR-TY?
