I’m soo excited. ALL of us Drinks with the girls are going to Atlanta GA this weekend! It’s a VERY quick trip that entails lots of chatting, eating (of course), maybe some shopping & auditioning for a TV show.
Of course, I can’t take the credit for organizing it, Tini has been the road trip leader!
We are leaving Friday night. You know that that means…jumping on the beds in a swanky hotel room. Hmm is motel 8 swanky? Maybe in a supernatural hotel room, kind of way. (Have you ever seen the hotel rooms in the TV show supernatural…Lets just say they are Retro)
Wonder what kind of trouble we will get into & people we will meet? Strangely enough, us girls, don’t get to spend a lot of time with each other. We are SOO busy doing kite boarding, car shopping, and socializing that it’s hard to get together.
So watch out people in Atlanta, GA! Here comes Drinks with the Girls!

OMG, it has started. The good news is it signals the beginning of popularity. The bad news is, it will only get worse.
This weekend I had two people say “That doesn’t go on your podcast, btw”. The first time I heard it, I was shocked. I had just met this wonderful chic & she had not even listened to the show…how did she know I would put her inner most secrets on the podcast? Hmm, am I that predictable?
The other incident was with the guy I’m “Dating”. (Yes there are quotes around “Dating”…it’s a LONG story) He mentioned that he didn’t want something regarding our sex life to be on the podcast. CRAP, foiled again! How did he know I was going to spill the bean about everything?! It’s a little spooky how well people know me.
So, there ya go fabulous listeners. People are getting leery of my HUGE mouth & the “Podcast Power” I yield .
So stay tuned, because from now on, I’m more of a stealthy podcaster, that way I can’t get the line “Don’t put this on your podcast”.
Seriously, Fab Listeners…Fame is hard….

Why is finding a good webhosting company such a PITA (Pain in the Ass)? It is driving me CRA-ZY!
Webhosting Company 1:Cheap Bi-monthly service (every two months), Fast web development tools. Several email accounts. Sounds great right…. What they don’t tell you is that uploading files over 3MBs is IMPOSSIBLE! Also, if you use their Fast web development tool, you can’t choose the directories the files get uploaded to. So the file path ends up being 200 characters longs….3MBs, can you say Dark ages. One picture is bigger than 3MBs, much less a podcast.
Webhosting Company 2:Either you pay for 1 year upfront or you pay for a 60.00 setup fee and 6 months upfront. Which Ironically equals the 1 year fee. WTF, I do not want to pay for a whole year, when I don’t even know if they are a good company or not. So, I email them saying I would like to try them out…bla, bla, niceties are included. They are nice enough to send me a response TWO days later saying…”No”. LOL. Can you say HORRIBLE customer support?
Webhosting Company 3-10Same problems as webhosting company 2, except they don’t even bother to answer my trial period request.
Webhosting Company 11:Frustrated & thinking DWTGs would have to pay for a year of webhosting with a poor customer service webhosting company …I looked a bit more. Vola…Finally I find a webhosting company that does 6 month contracts w/out a HUGE “Service Fee”. Seems to have good bandwith, LOTS of email accounts, email forwarding, and It can upload more than 3mbs at a time. The downside…it can’t create a website easily. Not without enrolling in a 9.99 a web creation month service.
What does this mean?
On the positive side it means that Cosmo gets to stretch her web development wings and the www.drinkswiththegirls.com website will be better than EVER.
Downside...developing a new site takes away from Cosmo’s shower time. Hope no one at work notices…

Drinks with the girls is a podcast about 3 CRAZY women that have allot to stay. Sometimes we talking about global warming, politics…oh wait that must be a different podcast. We NEVER talk about that stuff! We usually end up talking about Sex, single life, sport (on occasion, Rummy is very athletic), and life in general.
