OMT Monday 5-18-09
Oh my... I have soo many things that happened this weekend that I want to write about but Today is Operation Muffin Top Monday.
All of us Operation Muffin top members have been sending emails back and forth like a latex BC device in a windstorm (AKA fast & furious). The support everyone gives eachother is AMAZING! Being the techie I am, I made us a free message board. OMT Message Board is our Cyber support group full of laughs, encouragement and advice. So, if you are interested in sheding a few pounds or just wanted to get more healthy, come and check it out!
I've finally decided that eating Chinese food (even if it is only veggies and tofu) and Watermelon all the time isn't the best thing for me. Unfortunatly, that means, I must go grocery shopping. Strangely enough, I use to like going grocery shopping...now it just seems like an errand. And since I hate errands, it went the way of the dodo bird...extinct.
I recently purchased a Costco (wholesale place) membership because I keep getting invited to parties (yahoo!) . As many of you know, whenever you get invited to a party, you must bring something, thus the costco membership. Party delights in bulk. Now, I can use it to do mucho grocery shopping with one visit. :)
After work I plan to get Fish, veggies, and hmm I already forgotten the third item, is on my list.
Come back tomorrow for more some stories about my CRAZY weekend.

As long as Pinocchio's nose
What is up with us and our self image? I would LOVE to say I know some women that don’t have a self image, problem, but if I did, my nose would be longer than Pinocchio’s nose in that porno.
I was just reading some emails from OMT about how they don’t think they are good enough and it occurred to me…WTF are we women thinking? Seriously, so many women are wonderful and don’t even know it.
I have a friend (more than one friend) that is like a ray of sunshine. She radiates a warm energy that infects people happiness and positive energy where ever she goes. Does she know that, No. Ironically, she wants to be the person that is like human Prozac, but she can’t see herself for what she truly is. She seems to hang on to any negative comment like it’s the last piece of chocolate in the house and she is having her monthly visitor.
Another friend of mine is so strong and confident, until it comes to her future. Somehow she suddenly loses her confidence, determination and mental strength that normal exudes from her. Somehow she thinks she isn’t good enough, or not capable enough.
Then there is me. I went to lunch with a friend of mine and while walking through the cafeteria he asked “What is it like having everyone stare at you?” I was totally confused. Of course, I laughed thinking he was making a joke.
“Seriously” he said “what is it like? It’s like the flowers are parting for you. Everyone is looking at you, even the women”
I had no idea how to respond. He is only a friend, so isn’t saying this, to compliment me, he’s serious.
“I had no idea it was happening” I told him. It was his turn to be mystified.
How does this happen? We are born with a blank slate but somewhere along the way, we start doubting ourselves. We start taking things WAY too personal. Instead of thinking, Maybe my BF is having a bad day, he didn’t really mean to ignore me when he walked in. We tend to think, what did I do wrong and how can I fix it.
If I had a daughter, I would tell her, Love yourself! You will not be perfect; you will probably not make all the right decisions, but love yourself for you. Learn from your mistakes, take negative feedback with a grain of salt, and go on. You are the only You on the planet.
Maybe we should do the same. Learn to Love ourselves and be the best self, we can be.
OK, I’m done with my ranting (at least for now)

Skinny Minny Jeans
Do you have a pair of Skinny jeans that stare at you every time you enter your closet? The jeans that dare you to put them on, while sliently laughing? Maybe it's a pair you had in High school and have been refusing to throw away, even though they have a hole in the hooha.
Well Tuesday, I tried on those Jeans. I would love to tell you that they fit me great and made my bootie look like something to sing about, but I would be lying. The truth is, I was able to get them on (a good step), but I looked a bit like an overstuffed sausage. But there is a silver lining.
Tuesday I tried on a halter top that I bought last year when I was pretty thin. I hadn't been able to wear it because it's super tight and shows EVERYTHING. But this time, when I tried it on, it looked good! Not two weeks ago, It would've looked awful, but this week...yahoo! Of course I asked my roommate(AKA Tini) to verify (I had no desire to look like an overstuffed sausage in public) and she said it looked great!
So I went out with some friends in a pair of jeans I couldn't fit into two weeks ago (not my skinny jeans, but semi-skinny jeans) and a red haulter top that left nothing to the imagination. The best news of all is that I got compliments from everyone and stares from complete strangers. :)
Now all I need to do is to start "getting my flirt on" and get myself a date with a hot fireman!

Bjs are Fat free
Thanks to Catherinette a great group of supportive fatties (I say that with LOVE!) have come together for Operation Muffin Top. In short, Operation Muffin Top is a group of internet gurus, that supports eachother while getting healthy. We say things like "Don't put that F**KING DONUT in your MOUTH!" And "Remember BJs are fat free".
The current question posed to the group is: what is your modivation for getting healthy?
You guys already know about my HOT body by 31. There is also the modivation of not feeling self concous while wearing a bikini. But I have a secret modivational Weapon. I've promised myself, If I work out at least 3 days a week, for a month, then I treat myself to a massage.
Hmm, that means I need to work out Both days this weekend, since I've been a slacker.
Oh, I almost forgot. Another modivation would be, get hot, so I can have a fling with a hot Fireman! Yummy

Has an Alien taken over my body?
Ladies and Gentlemen. Hold on to your Hats/Cellphones. You might need to sit down for this revelation. It’s crazy, out of character and practically heart stopping. In fact, maybe I shouldn’t tell you because I don’t want to get sued for causing heart attacks… Well, that has never stopped me before, so why stop now.
I went to the Gym yesterday! That alone might not be heart attack worthy, but the fact that I actually worked out…well that’s CRAZY. Did I mention that I enjoyed it? WTF! Has an Alien taken over my body? If so… go Alien!
As you know I joined a Gym a few weeks ago. (link) Unfortunately, due to complications with my STUPID FU*KING IUD, I’ve been in too much pain to go. Also, since I’m new to the whole Gym thing, I wasn’t familiar with the equipment. I fixed that, yesterday (Hooray for ME!) with the help of a personal trainer.
While waiting for my Personal Trainer (it was a free perk when I joined), I started people watching. Yeah, there were some hot bodies, but I didn’t see one girl with makeup on or prowlin for beef cake. In fact, most the people were there just to workout. Phew, what a relief.
Eventually my Chic PT arrived. After having a brief discussing out my gym ignorance, she took me to a few Upper Body machines. While at the first upper body machine, we had to discuss what weight I could do.
“I think you can do 30 pounds” she said, while adjusting the weights.
“umm, maybe 10” I said, looking for a hole to crawl into. While secretly thinking, where is the 5lb on this machine?
“Lets try 30, you could be surprised” she insisted.
I was beginning to hate this woman. Preparing my body to work as hard as it ever had, I tired the dreaded 30lbs. OMFG, I was able to do it! I was even able to do a few reps.
Later, while waiting on a machine, I watched a guy using a bicep curl machine
“Looked like you were working pretty hard there” I said in a friendly non-judging tone. (I swear it was non-judging.)
“Yeah, I wouldn’t have believed I could do it 9 weeks ago. It’s amazing what you can do when you decided to change your life in small ways”
Immediately, I loved this guy! “That’s very true. Looks like you are doing an extraordinary job!” I said with enthusiasm. “It’s never easy to change your life. “
“Thanks. Enjoy your workout” He said with a huge smile on his face.
I finished up by trying out most of the upper body machines and chatting with the PT about what kind of exercises I needed to do to get a ULTRA hot body for my 31st Birthday. The strange part is I’m a bit sore today but I’m looking forward to going back… Definitely an alien.

Getting Healthy...YUCK
It all started with the birthday present I’m giving to myself. I'm giving myself an AWESOME (not good, not great, AWESOME) body for my 31st birthday. My birthday is in July, and since I need to drop about X (I’m not telling you how many! And it’s a bit rude of you to ask…
But be proud of me...I didn't bow to Austin’s radiantly sparkling green eyes...I didn't join, I'm waiting a whole 24 hours to join. (Don't judge me, you didn't see his eyes).
Regardless...I'm on my quest to have an Awesome body by July. The fact that Bikini season is fast approaching, helps with the motivation factor. If only I could stay away from the super chunky fudge ice cream...
Stay tunes for more, when I chat about the torture monsters...I mean gym equipment that is waiting for me…

Positive Vibes on a down day
Have you ever had a bad day/week. Maybe your cat died or a close relative is sick or your boyfriend just isn't talking... either way, you are having a bad day. The sky outside is a lovely shade of blue with just a slight chill in the air, but all you can do it look at your shoes. Smiling no longer seems like an option.
At this point you may have had enough of being all "Doom & Gloom", so after you have called your best friends and spread your misery. Which they were nice enough to hear & then point out that the sky is not really falling, what do you do? Yeah, you feel a bit better because Cab pointed out that boys "Process" and that regardless things will work out, but your still Doom & Gloomin' it.
Rummy once talked about her steps to a positive outlook. No, it's not a modivational book, it's a technique she uses to pick herself up out of her "Doom & Gloom".
Rummy lives on the third story of her apartment building, so when she goes up the stairs she tried to think about one good thing in her life for each stair she climbs. Sometimes it takes her a while to get to the top, but when she reaches her apt her Doom & Gloom are gone. You may not have steps, but you can use the walk to your door from your driveway, or the walk to the bathroom at work.
Today, I will take Rummy's great advice and try the Anti-Doom & Gloom technique for myself. Wish me luck!

Ass Kicking Sunday & Veggies
Oh my, what an eventful, tiring and fun weekend!
Since my weekend was so crammed full of …well EVERYTHING, I decided to give a run down of my vegetarian activates for the whole weekend in one shot.
Friday, was comprised of the last of the pasta salad (did I mention I made enough for an army?), boiled peanuts and salad. Dinner was more interesting since I enjoyed it at a Halloween bash(stuffed jalapeno peppers & cheese pizza).
I didn’t realize how difficult it can be to be a vegetarian at a party. Besides having all the wonderful food you cannot eat that contains meat in bountiful amounts, sometimes you don’t even realize something contains meat. So, since most of the appetizers were fried (yummy), I ended up wasting some of the yummy fried tidbits by breaking them open to see if they contained meat. It gave me a new respect for the vegetarian lifestyle.
Saturday was surprisingly easy. I had a late breakfast of a burrito with rice, beans and cheese (no egg for me) with Bud. Since breakfast was so late (around 11) I skipped lunch. Dinner was a nice treat since I had it with a friend! We went to a local Mexican restaurant and I ate the bean nachos…yummy!
Ass Kicking Sunday was… well, kicked my ass! I didn’t fall off the vegetarian wagon, but I did get my ass kicked by biking trails. Bud and I joined a mountain biking group at a local park. As usual, I was bringing up the rear of the pack but hopefully that will change soon!
Sunday’s breakfast was comprised of a Dunkin Donuts croissant with cheese and part of a donut and ya can’t forget the ice coffee. Coffee is IMPARITIVE when you have to get up at 7:30am on a Sunday!
I was ready to eat a car when lunch time arrived since I had already done several miles of trails! Publix veggie subs were the item of the day accompanied by some chips, fruit, and LOTS of liquids!
Dinner was a treat involving a delivered veggie pizza and watching a football game with Bud. To be fair, I didn’t watch the game as much as I napped.
I’ve been amazed that I haven’t craved meat yet. I thought the whole vegetarian thing would be a bit harder, but so far it’s pretty easy. The only thing I’ve been very careful about is where I go out to eat. If there is a particular dish I LOVED at a restaurant that contains meat, I try, either to NOT go to that restaurant or to make sure there is something else on the menu I would like to have.
The bad news is that I have noticed my energy level has been a bit inconsistent. Sunday I was able to do more miles and have more endurance than usual with the bike trails although a bit after, I had a headache and was completely drained. Not so unusual, since Bud and I usually take a nap afterwards, but the headache was a concern. I wasn’t dehydrated or hungry, so I’m not sure what the cause was. I ended up going to be early, hoping it would be gone by morning which it was.
This morning, I sleep more than usual, but that could’ve been from the bike ride the day before.
I’ve also started taking extra b vitamins and an iron supplement. I think that might help with the waning energy levels.
While looking at my normal blogs, I rant into a blogger that is putting my efforts to go vegetarian for two week to SHAME! This blogger/writer is doing a 92 day juice Feast (Not Fast, feast). Talk about will power! http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2008/10/juice-feasting/

Save the Ta Ta's
Woo hoo, I just found out I'm at less risk for breast cancer. A study showed that vigirous exercise can cut a woman's risk by 30%. The girls and I were just talking about breast cancer and mamograms on a recent podcast to be posted in the future. I never really thought it would be an issue for me since I don't have a family history of it and I consider myself healthy. But you never know so this is good news for me. And for everyone else this is just one more reason to get out there and exercise. It's fun, healthy and its nice to feel good about your body.
Happy Halloween!!!

Cosmos Vegetarian Day 4 (Wednesday)
Happy Thursday readers!
While scarfing down my Oatmeal w/fruit, homemade juice, and vitamins, I chatted with bud about our weekend plans, which are still up in the air. There are a few things that we HAVE to happen this weekend like go to THE Halloween party, study (Bud), mountain biking, and enjoy the weekend. The problem is how to fit all of those into my (and his) busy schedule…
Lunch. After a PB&J, I decided to take a break from my computer and go to Barnes and Nobles to enjoy their nice book selection. I wanted to read about a few books that Zen Habits had chatted about and enjoy a nice Soy Chai Tea. While the counter person tried to up sell me to a Grande Chai (Just a few cents more, apparently), I saw the blueberry scones, which I’m an absolute sucker for, so of course I bought one immediately.
After Lunch, I was able to take the rest of the day off! Sometimes I really love my job! I went home, cuddled in bed and had EVERY intention of reading some of the books I bought, when Bud pokes his head in, so no book reading for me.
**Disclaimer: Bud and I do not live together, but he does stay over at my house a few days during the week, or commute & cuddle purposes**
Snack time was pretty yummy. It was comprised of some fancy beer nuts (can beer nuts ever be fancy?) and some cheese and crackers. Goat cheese with wheat thins is a very yummy and creamy (Hee hee) snack.
While watching the Obama Info-mercial , Bud and I ate our dinner of boiled peanuts, grapes, and pasta salad. To drink I had homemade ice tea and Bud had beer (can you guess what kind?).
It’s Thursday morning (posting a day behind) and I’m feeling great! I don’t miss meat at all, in fact, it sounds unappealing to me I chatted with Cab this morning and she says things are going well for her also.
Cab said “Going Veggie has made me focus on more healthy choices.”
Although, we both agreed to not give up fish. Yeah, maybe we aren’t “True” vegetarians, but fish is yummy and good for you!
So, have a wonderful Thursday everyone & be on the look out for our next podcast about Halloween. I plan to post it sometime today!

Cosmos Vegetarian Day 3 (Tuesday)
Breakfast was boring old Oatmeal with fruit and my vitamins. Yummy, but nothing exciting. The only thing exciting about breakfast was sleeping in WAY too late. It was such a nice, cold, and crisp morning. My bedroom windows were open and all I wanted to do was stay under the covers and dream about the beach.
Retro Lunch. PB&J colored my lunch with brown and red (PB & Strawberry Jam). Strange how you can forget such yummy treats!
Snacks… YES! A Banana, Apple, and some bad crackers later…I was still hungry. L
Dinner, was more interesting. My juicer received a workout with all the fruit I shoved down it’s throat. An old Payaya, ½ a cantaloupe, a few apples and some carrots feed the machine. All the juice was yummy, but the cantaloupe was the BEST! WOW, I when summer comes around, mr. Juicie is going to be get a cantaloupe work out every week.!
Besides juice, I had some spaghetti leftovers with my drink of choice, a orange juice with club soda.
I’ve been surprised at how easy this has been so far. I have yet to crave any meat (That’s what she said…) or feel “down”. My energy level has been up, in fact it has been a bit higher than usual. It might be because I’m trying something new & succeeding, not sure yet.

Cosmo Veggie Day 2
It is true my wonderful readers, I started my voyage into vegetarianism on Monday (see previous post), but since I am too lazy to post a blog at 12am I will be a day behind documenting my adventure.
Breakfast : Oatmeal & fruit & Green Tea
Lunch: Involved a communication process… as it sometimes does.
Cosmo Texts Root Beer: Wanna go to lunch? (In my hurry to get out the door, I had left mine on the table right by the door at home.)
Root Beer Texts back: Sure, where?Cosmo Answers: …
After a bit of research and a great deal of thought, Panera Bread came to mind. It would fit my new Veggie lifestyle (lifestyle sounds so much better than diet) and make Root Beer happy.Cosmo responds: How does Panera bread sounds?Root Beer: Great… meet ya there!Panera bread ended up working out wonderfully! After careful examination of the menu, I ordered a Tomato Mozzarella Panini, broccoli cheese soup & coffee. I did not miss the cow meat at all… wow! Who would have thunk it?
** No snack today. I wasn’t hungry! Very unusual for me! Bully for me!!! **
Dinner was interesting…The girls (Rummy & Tini) were meeting me at my house so we could record another yummy podcast! Being the foodies that we are, we always have dinner before the podcast, so that meant I had to cook. (Poor Girls!)
I ended up going to the grocery store on the way home, so I could get supplies for my new “adventure” and for dinner. After spending way too much money on produce & gawking at the young college kids (the grocery store is next door to a big college), I made my way home… 20 minutes AFTER I was suppose to meet the girls. Lucky for me they were forgiving when the Spaghetti and Salad was ready to eat.
Out podcast was great! We ended up recording two podcasts since our lives have gotten a bit busier.
The good news is that as soon as I get off my lazy ass, the Halloween podcast will be posted! Make sure you have a listen, since Rummy tells us all about Fantasy Fest and how she got “Painted” for the occasion.

Wait Does Chicken Broth Count?
Serious? Chicken broth isn't vegetarian? Well, as it happens, I guess I can buy that...just because I see no chunks of Bambi or Elsie floating around, it doesn't mean that they're not in there. Ugh!This is going to take some work.Oh and did you know that grape leaves contain meat? Yep, me neither. So, yesterday I was a 98 percenter. (Smile).

I'm a Veggie-Saurus?!
Vegetarian?! Take a minute right now and tell me, what type of person comes to mind when you hear the word, “vegetarian?” Know what image came to my mind when I heard the term? A granola chomping, butter churning, dread lock wearing, nature loving, log cabin building, yoga going, freak of nature. I know, I know, it’s a little harsh, right? I can only explain this by saying that I’ve been stuck in a bubble for most of my life and well, times they are a changing for this red wine drinking, snobby, yet fun loving, thirty something girl.I never really thought of myself as a meat-a-saurus. I never could muster the taste for red meat – whether it was rare steak or rare roast beef, I just couldn’t do it. Perhaps it was the image of my mom in the kitchen eating raw hamburger with a little salt or the way that large, old men seemed to salivate while they were eating a steak…it just wasn’t my thing. Over the years, I have learned to love steak and it is a bit decadent, to say the least. An indulgence and it has always bothered me…never wanted to introduce myself to my meal and as such, it got me thinking that perhaps there is another way.Who decides to be a vegetarian and why?! The answers are endless and I’ve found as I am making the transition, very personal. Still, people want to know why and my answers have been varied and truthfully, the answer has many layers. For me, it comes down to health reasons and the obvious, animal welfare. It all started with Cosmo’s boyfriend, Bud. He’s a vegetarian and in having my friends over for a debate party, at the last minute, it struck me, WHAT DO I FEED BUD?! Panic set in and I bought everything I could find that had NO meat. If you know what to look for there’s a lot of choices out there and wow, they are quite tasty! The idea became solidified after attending VegFest at Loch Haven Park this past weekend with Cosmo, Bud and Chartreuse. Yep, there were lots of granola chomping, dread lock wearing folks in attendance but you know what, there were people just like us that were looking for a better way to live. We wandered around - pondered at the henna booth, listened to a lecture of the dangers of being a meat-a-saurus, ate some yummy Indian food and chatted with a true juice man (that was an experience). Of course, there were animal rights groups and animal rescue groups that tugged at my heart. Thank goodness that I didn’t come home with yet another cat or that precious greyhound that I fell in love with. Little did I know that the wheels of motion had already begun, my decision had been made but didn’t know it until…my talk with Cosmo the next day. That was it, Sunday at 1:00 PM, October 26, 2008, we made a pact – we were going to be veggie-saurus’ for two weeks. It can’t hurt us, right? It’ll be entertaining for those on the side lines as I attempt to eat meat-free for two weeks. What will I eat…where will it come from and what sort of trouble will I find myself in…stay tuned as I make way into the unknown world of the elusive Veggiesaurus’!

More on the Veggie "INFECTION"
So, being the renowned vegetarian expert that I am (SARCASM), I sent this email to my Partner in crime, Cab.Cab,I told Bud about our infection. Unfortunately he totally denied infecting us, Lying bastard!Cab, did you know that Chicken broth is considered Meat. WTF is that about! Chicken broth is soo YUMMY!Sigh.. if you can’t kill it… then learn to live with it. Here is some stuff I found out about our infection.http://eatclosetohome.wordpress.com/2008/03/29/vegetarian-menu-and-recipes-for-a-month/ (I think I will try the coconut curry chickpeas... yummy)http://www.recipezaar.com/recipes/vegetarian My favorite recipe site & these are all vegetarian friendly.http://www.recipezaar.com/cookbooks.php?s_type=%2Fcookbooks.php&q=vegetarian&Search=Search Cooks books from my fav recipe sites. Users (that’s what Amy winehouse said) rate these recipes, so it is usually easy to find something yummy!A few things I keep around the house (since I started dating Bud).- refrigerated pasta w/good canned sauce. (Ya know, the cheese stuffed pasta or just the regular pasta, not the kind you have to boil. You can warm up the sauce & then add pasta. Cook for a few more minutes...easy peasy!)- Granola or Cliff bars (my fav http://www.amazon.com/Clif-Bar-Energy-Chocolate-Peanut/dp/B000RZCBAU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1225136311&sr=8-2. you can get them at Publix pretty cheap)- Pretzels (Something to keep his mouth shut munch on)- Frozen pizza (Publix Spinach is good)- Amy's frozen entrees (When you don't want to cook, but want something good!)- Rinsed grapes in Fridge (These are great. They look pretty which encourages you to munch on them!)- Frozen soybeans (edamame). They are out of the norm, yummy and SUPER easy!- Last but not least Lots of WINE!Beware of:- Veggie dogs (Bud says they are gross... that is enough for me!)- Tofu (Keep an open mind, but try to find some good recipes first. Raw tofu..not so great)- Imitation meat... (I haven't found a good "meat" yet. Boca burgers are yummy but imitation meat...is usually not so great.)CheersToo Much Information Cosmo

Get In My Belly, Veggies!!!
I’ve made a pack! No, Not a blood pact, more of an anti-blood pack.I blame this pact on Bud (my vegetarian boyfriend) . His disease has infected not only me, but also Cab (a dear friend)! I have been fighting the “infection” for several months…but – I – JUST- CAN-NOT-FIGHT-IT-ANYMORE! Since I can’t fight it, I’ve decided to Drag Cab with me! We have decided to try vegetarianism for two weeks!Everything came to a head (That’s what she said…) Saturday. Bud, Cab, Chartreuse, and I went to VegFest in downtown Orlando after our bodacious yard sale (more on that later). As you can probably imagine there were LOTS of animal right groups there, vegetarian fare, hippies with awesome tattoos, animal rescue groups and a few other vendors. Cab has been fascinated with vegetarians ever since she had Bud & me over for a debate party. Cab went all out. She bought all kinds of “vegetarian” stuff for him to snack on.Long story short (sort of short, anyways), Cab & I made a pact to be vegetarians for two weeks starting Sunday Oct 26th at 1pm. Since I have decided to start this crazy pact, I thought you might enjoy my tails (lol, bad pun) of meat withdraw, veggie products reviews and other strange things that will occur. Background:A bit of background on Cab and I might help you to appreciate the nature of our infection a little more.I (Cosmo) was raised in a small southern town where a meal was NOT a meal without meat! A place where Bambi roamed, and where the locals called Bambi “Lunch”. (I HATED deer meat & still do, btw. I could never eat Bambi)Cab was raised in a loving home that oozes tradition. Her mom cooked the family dinner every night and guess what? The dinner ALWAYS included meat.Wish us LOTS of luck readers!!!!

Rollercoaster From Hell!!
Sensible Cosmo “Cosmo, don’t you dare say a word. Seriously, I Mean it! You are just feeling emotional and taking things WAY to personal. See if you feel the same way tomorrow.”
Hormone Crazed Cosmo “But it’s just one little question, what’s the big deal? I’m just curious. I won’t get upset or mad”
Sensible Cosmo “NO! This is a Mistake! You Always regret it later! SHUT UP!”
Hormone Crazed Cosmo “It’s not such a big deal… it a small question. And I will feel this way tomorrow, so I should go ahead and get it over with. We will work it out & make lots of whoppi”
Sensible Cosmo ”Are you CRA-ZY?! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!”
Hormone Crazed Cosmo ” But….”
Sensible Cosmo “Zip IT! Zip! IT! Remember what happened last month. Just go to sleep!”
Hormone Crazed Cosmo “That was a one time thing”
Sensible Cosmo “ZIP…”
Out Loud Cosmo says to her BF while they are lying in bed “Do you appreciate when I do things for you?”
Sensible Cosmo “I told you to FUCKING SHUT UP! Did you listen? NO!”
Hormone Crazed Cosmo “It won’t be bad… you will see”
BF “What are you talking about? Do you think I don’t appreciate you? Why do you think that?....”
….A few minutes of conversation has passedBF “So you think I don’t care about you?”So there ya have it… the rollercoaster of PMS. It happens to me EVERY month. I KNOW I have emotional moments and that I am better off just keeping my mouth shut, but it NEVER seems to work out that way. It’s like I can’t control what comes out of my mouth. Somehow the conversation seems to turn (on a dime) from the price of chicken to how things are not going well in our relationship.
It’s like a god dammed rollercoaster. I try, really TRY to NOT get on that rollercoaster, but it’s like some unforeseen force pushes me. This force (lets call it the Pain In the Fucking Ass Hormone. PITFAH for short), says “Cosmo, your life has been too normal and great, it’s time to throw some unnecessary drama in the mix”
I hate the PITFAH! I shake my fist at the PITFAH! The PITFAH is what makes me yell at the Chinese take out lady because she didn’t give my soy sauce right away or makes me want to sell my own soul for Chocolate.
The good news is, I now know the PITFAH exists. I just need to figure out how to control this mad, mad, beast!PITFAH “What did you mean when by the commit “I was pretty good” last month?”FUCKING PITFAH! You’re EVIL!!!Hormone Crazed Cosmo

Top 10 Mountain Biking MUST HAVE items
10) Deep woods off (Those mosquitoes find mountain bikers succulent treats)
9) Suntan lotion (In FL you HAVE to, or you will look 60 when your birth certificate says 30)
8 ) Change of Clothes (You don’t want to get your car all smelly. BO, should stay on the trail)
7) Power bars (I’m not big on eating while working out, but this is a must! Once you are 10 miles out, you have to make it the 10 miles back to your car or hostel. Power bars might give you the boost you need.)
6) Water & LOTS of it. (Some people prefer camelbaks, some prefer water bottles, but make sure to bring a lot of it. You can put ice in your camelback…makes a summer day a bit easier to tolerate.)
5) Deodorant (See, step 8 “BO should stay on the trail)
4) A mountain bike (If you need to borrow or rent one…bring a mountain bike NOT a road bike. There is a difference.)
3) Good company (This one is very important. It will give you someone to whine with when your ass hurts)
2) A cell phone (In case you get lost, or need to make that all important call to your boyfriend/girlfriend saying you are going to be late)
And the Number 1 Thing to bring on a mountain bike ride is…1) Shorts with Ass padding! (Read My Ass Hurts)
