I’ve made a pack! No, Not a blood pact, more of an anti-blood pack.I blame this pact on Bud (my vegetarian boyfriend) . His disease has infected not only me, but also Cab (a dear friend)! I have been fighting the “infection” for several months…but – I – JUST- CAN-NOT-FIGHT-IT-ANYMORE! Since I can’t fight it, I’ve decided to Drag Cab with me! We have decided to try vegetarianism for two weeks!Everything came to a head (That’s what she said…) Saturday. Bud, Cab, Chartreuse, and I went to VegFest in downtown Orlando after our bodacious yard sale (more on that later). As you can probably imagine there were LOTS of animal right groups there, vegetarian fare, hippies with awesome tattoos, animal rescue groups and a few other vendors. Cab has been fascinated with vegetarians ever since she had Bud & me over for a debate party. Cab went all out. She bought all kinds of “vegetarian” stuff for him to snack on.Long story short (sort of short, anyways), Cab & I made a pact to be vegetarians for two weeks starting Sunday Oct 26th at 1pm. Since I have decided to start this crazy pact, I thought you might enjoy my tails (lol, bad pun) of meat withdraw, veggie products reviews and other strange things that will occur.Background:A bit of background on Cab and I might help you to appreciate the nature of our infection a little more.I (Cosmo) was raised in a small southern town where a meal was NOT a meal without meat! A place where Bambi roamed, and where the locals called Bambi “Lunch”. (I HATED deer meat & still do, btw. I could never eat Bambi)Cab was raised in a loving home that oozes tradition. Her mom cooked the family dinner every night and guess what? The dinner ALWAYS included meat.Wish us LOTS of luck readers!!!!
